Cultivar Background & Development

Black Bourbon is one of my personal favorites from this lineup. Given how much I love Blueberry Orange Juice, this cross felt like a natural progression rather than an experiment.

The testers I ran were exceptional plants. They were intentionally pushed through a variety of stressors and proved to be resilient and hardy across conditions. Only one tester showed sensitivity to heavier feedings. Beyond that, the line held together extremely well.

Growth & Structure

Plants show strong vigor with medium to tall stature and predictable stretch. Structure supports dense flower development, and overall performance has been consistent across environments.

Resin & Visual Expression

Flowers are heavily iced with trichomes and often display dark, colorful fan leaves late in flower. Resin coverage is thick and even, contributing to both visual appeal and potency.

Flavor & Terpene Expression

The terpene profile is genuinely unique. Standout expressions are reminiscent of a maple bourbon Manhattan finished with fresh orange zest. Nutty, musky undertones and earthy gas round out the profile, making this cultivar immediately recognizable.
