Cultivar Background & Development

I created the first generation of Joint’s Blueberry back in 2015. It remains some of my favorite medicine to this day, which is why I have dedicated nearly a decade to refining this cultivar.

The line was originally taken out to an F4 generation, but I was not fully satisfied with the results at that stage. Rather than pushing forward for the sake of progression, I stepped back into the F3 generation and rebuilt the line through targeted backcrossing using Blueberry OG twice. That decision ultimately led to the current Bx2 expression.

The goal has always been preservation, not modernization. This project exists to hold onto true old-school blueberry terpene expression while improving consistency and structure without losing the soul of the cultivar.

Growth & Structure

Plants stay compact through veg and respond well to topping and training. Stretch is moderate and predictable, with most phenotypes roughly doubling during flower. Structure supports dense flower development without requiring excessive intervention.

Flavor & Terpene Expression

This line carries some of the loudest and most nostalgic blueberry terpene profiles I have ever encountered. The aroma consistently brings back that unmistakable early-2000s blueberry character that many growers remember but rarely find today.
